However, there are few reports, especially in nano scale, on the remediation of heavy metals contaminated soils using zero-valent iron in the literature. In this study, the effect of iron on the availability of heavy metals was evaluated in a calcareous soil spiked with cadmium, zinc, lead and nickel. The soil samples, in a randomized complete design with two replications, were amended with four iron materials including micrometric zero-valent iron (ZVI), nanoscale zero-valent iron (nZVI) and nano and micro scales iron oxides. Then, after 1, 2 and 4 weeks of the experiment, DTPA-extractable heavy metals in soil were determined. Results showed that DTPA extractable heavy metals significantly decreased in soil treated with zero-valent iron, compared to untreated soil The stabilization efficiency of Ni, Cd, Zn and Pb was 28%, 32%, 37% and 28% for ZVI and 12%, 0%, 25% and 21% for nZVI, respectively. In contrast, presence of iron oxides caused significant increase of DTPA extractable heavy metals in soil except for Ni. Moreover, Ni-DTPA decreased significantly with time whereas it was constant for the other elements examined. In this study, the observed capacity for heavy metals removal by ZVI was higher than other treatments whereas the stabilization efficiency of nZVI was not significant in the soil.}, keywords = {Nanoscale Zero-valent iron (nZVI),Iron oxide,Heavy metals,Soil remediation}, title_fa = {مقایسه تاثیر نانوذرات آهن صفرظرفیتی و اکسیدهای آهن بر فراهمی فلزات سنگین در یک خاک آهکی}, abstract_fa = {ترکیبات آهن (به شکل صفرظرفیتی و یا اکسید) به علت داشتن توانایی حذف یا کاهش آلاینده‌های متعدد آلی و معدنی از موادی هستند که به عنوان اصلاح کننده آلودگی محیط‌زیست به‌ویژه در محیط‌های آبی به کار می‌روند. مطالعات کمی در مورد استفاده از آهن صفرظرفیتی به‌ویژه نانوذرات آهن در اصلاح خاک‌های آلوده به فلزات‌سنگین صورت گرفته است؛ بنابراین با هدف بررسی تاثیر پودرهای آهن بر فراهمی فلزات نیکل، روی، کادمیوم و سرب در یک خاک آهکی آزمایشی در قالب طرح کاملا تصادفی با 4 تیمار پودرهای آهن صفرظرفیتی و اکسید آهن در اندازه نانو و میکرومتر در سه دوره زمانی 1، 2و 4 هفته و 2 تکرار به انجام رسید. نتایج نشان دادند به طور کلی غلظت فلزات سنگین قابل استخراج با DTPA در خاک تحت تیمار منابع آهن‌دار صفرظرفیتی نسبت به خاک شاهد کاهش معنیدار داشت. غلظت نیکل، کادمیوم، روی و سرب به ترتیب 28، 32، 37 و 28 درصد کاهش در تیمار آهن صفرظرفیتی میکرومتر و 12، 0، 25 و 21 درصد کاهش در تیمار نانوذرات آهن صفرظرفیتی داشت. در صورتی‌که حضور اکسیدهای آهن باعث افزایش معنی‌دار فلزات سنگین قابل استخراج با DTPA خاک شد. هم‌چنین در بازه زمانی یک تا چهار هفته به استثناء فلز نیکل اختلاف معنی‌داری در غلظت سایر فلزات سنگین قابل استخراج با DTPA مشاهده نشد. به‌طور کلی در این مطالعه کارایی آهن صفرظرفیتی میکرومتر در کاهش فراهمی فلزات سنگین بیشتر بود و تاثیر نانوذرات آهن صفرظرفیتی در محیط خاک چشم‌گیر نبود.}, keywords_fa = {نانوذرات آهن صفرظرفیتی,اکسید آهن,پاک‌سازی خاک,فلزات سنگین}, url = {https://jsw.um.ac.ir/article_36121.html}, eprint = {https://jsw.um.ac.ir/article_36121_84c5d16255f590b5d4a65df730dddade.pdf} }
